Easter Meal
Great food, great people, great day!
Okay, our family really knows how to put on a celebration. The spread of food was enormous and thanks goes out to my cousin Roxy and her husband for hosting today’s festivities. There was such a delicious variety of foods to choose from including my personal favorite … Mexican food!
The children received a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny (who was such a sport), went on an Easter egg hunt, rode miniature ponies, jumped on the trampoline and got to ride in a go-cart. It was like a day at the fun park!

My Little Cousin's Easter Find
The adults got to crack two hollowed out eggs filled with confetti, over people’s heads for good luck.
Several people cracked their eggs on my head, so I guess that it means that I’ll have a year filled with extra good luck. I sure hope so!

I'm going to get tons of good luck!
Wishing my son a confetti-kind of birthday and an amazing year ahead.
You make me so proud to be your Mom.
I love you so much!

Birthday Confetti Cake
This month it’s Marlin’s first birthday. The exact date is unknown since he was a stray living on the streets of cow-town.

Marlin Kitten
His eyes changed from blue, to green, and now they’re a warm amber.

Curling up for naptime
He used to fit nicely into his little bed … but not anymore. He’s about tripled his weight since he was adopted. No more ribs are showing.

I dare ya to walk by
One of his favorite things to do is play in bags. He loves to take a quick swipe at you with his big kitty puffs as you walk by.

Helper or distraction?
Marlin loves to help his mommy study. Both are brilliant.
His guardian saved his life and charmed her own.
Our little aka: “Chicken Nugget”, “Mr. Sassy Pants.”
We love you so much and can squeeze you flat. Happy Birthday!

aka female family
When I took this photo last weekend, all I could think about is when I get together with the ladies in my family (cousins, aunts, mom, sister …). We talk so fast and laugh so loud, that the men just can’t get a word in edgewise. No doubt we always have something to say. I guess you could say we rock!
Well I’m off and running, so that I can enjoy my well deserved spring break.
Cheers!

bd grillers
Because of the snowstorm last weekend, we postponed our son’s birthday dinner celebration until tonight. It’s a tradition for him to choose bd’s Mongolian Grill. The wait time for dinner was about two hours, but it was worth it. This place is alot of fun. You choose your “raw” foods, create your own sauce, and the grillers ham it up and grill it before your eyes. These guys were good sports in posing for my photo. I hope my son enjoyed this celebration.

Too much food!
Since we had quite a bit of time to occupy, we took a long walk on the 16th Street Mall. Although we hopped on the mall shuttle bus for a few blocks, this mode of travel looked much more desirable. Yee Haw!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! I LOVE YOU!
